Bowron Lake Circuit Canoe Trip in Sept/07.
The culprits: Cmac, Woodchuck Chad, Shallow Paddle Coogs, Le Durty Chef: Yando Commando, and Raintarp Ryno.

This is a circuit of lakes that form a nice little square, so no backtracking required. About 9 hours north of Vancity, basically in the middle of nowhere. We did the circuit in about 8 days....120km's in total. Mostly canoeing, but also about 15kms of portaging. Scenery was stellar. Some sore muscles at the end of the week, but nothing that an out-of-shape desk jockey can't handle.

Two canoes and one kayak. Got damn cold at night. We pitched full camp each night (Chris/Yann with food, Chad on the fire, Coogs on the water filter, me on the rain tarp), except for two, as there were a couple of cabins along the way for keeping warm. We saw pretty much every weather system you could imagine, including a little snow one evening and two emergency stops to get off the lake due to hail/waves. No bears to speak of, but we almost witness a moose not make it across the river.

Cmac, leave those cotton socks at home.
