Previous Pics from Tikal

Here are some pics from Tikal and from Finca Ixobel. The ruins were quite impressive, especially the amount of them. There was a massive town of them, and we didn´t even get to see them all. We busted our ass to find a guide that could get us into the park before it opened, so that we could catch sunrise from the top of one of the pyramids. We managed to pull it off (3am start time!), but unfortunately it was cloudy, so we didn´t get the full show. It was still cool listening to the jungle wake up....especially the howler monkeys.

Finca Ixobel was a great spot. The best part were the giant buffets that they served, all with fresh food grown on the farm. They also had a pingpong table, which got a lot of use from yours truly. Was kind of like a summer camp kind of feel to the place. I also got to play my first game of soccer. No goals to speak of, but definitely an E for effort.

Cool picture you took from the top of the ruin. I bet you didn't have to go down backwards on all fours like your brother.

I am stilled scarred from the moustache pictures...tell me it's gone. Or maybe you should keep it on to keep all the local women away!!

Hope you had a good birthday Ryan. It sounds like you are enjoying your free spirited traveling without any regrets... You are making me sooooo jealous - I almost want to leave again! Why did I come home again?

Paul Bodden is the hizzo!
Yes, the stache definitely scared away the local women. That Alan Legere look doesn't seem to do it for them!!! Ha! Chris, good to hear that Yann's gas finally came in handy. Who got stuck sharing a tent with him....must have been hard on the brain cells. And yes, I agree on the pick up lines (Almost TOO smooth). Kimi, thanks for the bday pics. I miss you and love you! Ha!

Dirt, I can definitely see Greg sliding down the pyramid on his ass.....there were lots of other women in our group who were doing that too. Don't see any mohawks coming anytime soon....too high maitenance! Hair is definitely not getting cut anytime soon.

Miss Adele, good to see that this is bringing back good old memories for you. Although after 5 years of travelling, I think that you are going to have trouble finding anyone to feel sorry for you! Did you go Trapeezing yet?

Yanny Ninamaa!
Glad you dropped by. You weren't kidding when you said that you weren't going to look at the blog. If this makes you feel like picking up and leaving, then coming down to meet me for a week would definitely be a bad idea. It doesn't take long to get the travel bug again. I saw you in the bday pics. Looks like your new g/f is dressing you now too. You almost looked cool.
